Enough with the "third person" biography. This is who I am:

I try to be faithful to God's calling in my life, and I understand the importance of stewardship and family values. Relationships are what we are left with, whether we "win" or "lose" at each stage of our lives. My focus is on favorably resolving your matter, as opposed to winning at all costs. Salvaging, preserving, or bettering your relationship with your neighbor, family, or business partner will be a high-priority consideration as we work together. I believe that this will be evident from the very beginning of your representation. When you call in for the first time, you'll find that I'm not afraid to tell you what I think you need to hear, even if it means telling you that you need to work out your differences instead of hiring a lawyer.

I'm fortunate to be able to practice with my father (Doug Sr.) - a great lawyer who has successfully practiced in many areas of the law. This allows me to represent clients in the types of cases and matters that drive my interest. I like working with many different types of legal issues, but I most enjoy working with estate planning clients in drafting Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorneys, Advance Medical Directives, and doing advance Medicaid planning for individuals and couples entering retirement homes and assisted care facilities.Whether working from the office for real estate and estate planning matters, making on-site visits to nursing homes, assisting executors and administrators in probate matters, or appearing in court on behalf of landlords, conservators, guardians, or beneficiaries, I care about my clients and their families, and am competent to obtain the desired result. I will work with your insurance agent, financial planner, investment advisor, CPA, and other members of your "team" to ensure that not only have you sufficiently planned for your family's future, but also that the plan is implemented to achieve your goals. Let me know how I can help you and your family.
